The student representation ("Schülervertretung" = SV) at the iDSP represents the pupils from class 5 to 12 democratically. It serves as an intermediary between the students and the rest of the school community or other bodies. The SV consists of two class representatives from each class, two speakers for each level (“Unterstufe, Mittelstufe, Oberstufe”) and two student speakers. Two guidance counsellors from the teaching staff supplement the SV. All members with an office in the SV are elected democratically and anonymously.
The SV of the International German School of Paris endeavours to put into practice the pupils’ wishes and improve life at the iDSP. In the case of problems or conflicts, we can help by acting as mediator and as contact person for the pupils. We also operate in many different fields, such as renting the lockers, organising school festivities, helping with the planning of various school events, taking part in different school committees, etc.
This school year the student representatives are Stephan Kool and Annika Stange.

Being part of the SV means participating in a two-day seminar at the beginning of the school year and attending one meeting per month. All members are actively involved and thus contribute to the success of the student representation. It is very important to us to cooperate with the teaching staff, the head of the school, the parents’ association, the supporting association and the school maintaining body.
