Mothers and fathers participate in school life

The parents’ association (“Schulelternbeirat” = SEB) is a committee which is composed of the parents’ speakers from all school classes and kindergarten groups. The parents’ association aims at representing parents and pupils. This should be done in honest and trustworthy cooperation with the head of the school, the school maintaining body and the teachers. According to the school regulations, one of the tasks of the SEB is to promote the educational work of the entire school. Therefore, criticism has sometimes to be expressed, but this is always done in a constructive way and in the interest of all.

The varied areas of the SEB include:

• Participation in the meetings of the school maintaining body
• Participation in the meetings of the entire teaching staff
• Participation in the subject oriented conferences
• Contribution to the measures taken on a structural level
• Supporting the career information days
• Organising the photo action
• Helping to organise the Christmas market
• Assisting in organising events at the school
