The International German School of Paris’ “Förderverein” is a registered non-profit supporting association, the members of which are primarily parents, teachers and former pupils of the iDSP. The association was established over 30 years ago. Its aim is to support the iDSP through the active participation of its members whenever financial resources are insufficient. The main objective is therefore the procurement of funds for the school and the kindergarten. Other aims are to make the start for newly arrived families easier and to establish contacts with the French environment.

Membership contributions and gains from the above actions are used at 100% for the school’s and the kindergarten’s needs. This includes both investment and aid for larger purchases which can not be financed through the current school and kindergarten budget, the payment or subsidisation of student projects and cultural events such as theatre, dance and music performances, supplying photocopiers, magazine subscriptions for general use, and much more!

Always in action

The women belonging to the Fördervereins of the international German school of Paris are always in action. At the annual general meeting on November 13th 2009 a new management was elected.

Although all work in unison, their responsibilities are clearly divided:

Susanne Reinert as presider is responsible for internal and external communications of the association. On her side stands Sandra Schill, her substitute, who organizes the catering for events with Gaby Münch. Dagmar Hott manages the finances of the “Förderverein”. Bernadette Fechner and Birgit Müllen are responsible for the decorations at events and Pia Monichon still organizes the town and museum tours. Juliane Klose, Christina Westermann and Catherine Scheuer manage the event planning.
